The Cosmos - Right Here

March 23, 2017

While researching spring shooting locations Joshua Tree National Park appeared in my search which, reminded me of this image from a previous trip to the park. This is an image made after dusk when there is -absolute- quiet for miles around save for a gentle wind. The vast formations of ancient, molten granite intrusions proudly stand at attention. All you can try to do is imagine the millions of years between the explosion of this mass through the earth's surface and your humble existence. It puts you in your cosmic place. http://www.johnsantorophotography.com
